New name, same mindset. Futur.e.s festival, previously called Futur en Seine, avoids empty innovations clichés and promises by giving voice to innovators, artists and citizens who do not want just "innovation for innovation".
From June 21 to June 23, La Grande Halle de la Villette welcomed professionals, curious people, and children – all determined to experiment, question and imagine the innovations of tomorrow during Futur.e.s, one of the biggest startup events in Paris organized by Cap Digital.
Territories, living, artificial intelligence, art and creativity, handicap and kids were the six main topics while hundreds of questions punctuated the visits of innovators and potential users. By linking demos, conferences, labs and masterclasses, the festival built bridges between experience and reflexion, the showable and the abstract, the maker and the thinker.
Espoo Marketing deepened collaboration in Paris startup ecosystem
Espoo Marketing participated in Futur.es and visited Station F, the world biggest startups campus.
“Futur.es is a great window into the innovation ecosystem in Paris. This was another great opportunity to deepen our great collaboration with our partners in Paris,” Project Manager Elli Keränen said.
Futur.e.s is among the leaders in innovation event equality. 55% of the event-goers in 2018 were women – and the number has grown year after year. Overall 12,475 visitors came to the event. Of these, 58% were adults, 10% children and 33% professionals.
For ten days, the entire Paris region ecosystem took part in the event "Off" programme, with 22,400 people taking part in 81 different events. Futur.es is undoubtedly the place where all the passionate innovators can gather, discuss and get a glimpse of the possible FUTURES.
